My Birthday

I guess I will just have to suck it up and admit that I'm getting old. Today I turned plenty-seven. my day started nicely with Paul calling me from Buffalo at 1:30 am to be the first person to wish me a happy birthday. Then I got up to go to work and got stuck in the driveway, I was really upset, and quite disconcerted because I didn't know who I could call to help me at 7:15 in the morning (Dustin was all ready working, Dad just had a heart attack, Jody's husband had surgery on his leg yesterday) and the neighbors just waved as they drove down the street. I finally called Jody and asked her if she would steer while I pushed. She came out to help and about 5 neighbors showed up and pushed me out. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!! when I finally got to work my day went better, My friend Julie made a special lunch, and Lindsay made a cake and all the residents helped me celebrate. After work Krystal brought me a yummy pumpkin desert, then I went to Tonyas and had a yummy dinner and she made a chocolate cake for desert (it was supposed to be a surprise, but her husband told) I guess that I'm pretty spoiled and am going to be on a sugar high for a week! Thank you everyone for making my birthday special!!! I Love You All!!!

We have a new member in our family. Her name is Lucy. She used to live with Kim Ashley and Brayden, but Kim and Dustin decided that she would fit in here pretty good. She is a lot of fun but she is also a lot of dog.

Yesterday Jody asked if i could get her girls to school for her and I was putting a bag of rollo's away when they came over so Fred says "gimmie some chocate treat:" I asked her what the magic word is and she said "please you bootifull can I have chocate treat now" I had to give her three of them. because anyone who is smart enough to call me beautiful at 8 am deserves chocolate. (just so you know this isn't how we send Fred to school Ijust found an older picture. we do fix her hair for school)

Update on Pop

pop is doing good! woo hoo!!! he had a small heart attack but there was very little damage. Thank god. and he is home trying to eat healthier and quit smoking. He says that he feels good and is in great spirits. Thank you all who sent us positive thoughts and prayers they were listened to and answered. Thanks again We love all of you!

Jody thought that I had better explain why I changed the title of my blog from crazy days with Hauntie to crazy days with Leslie, well the sad reason is that my Fred just calls me Leslie now or Auntie like the older kids. It brakes my heart that they are all growing up so fast. I'm afraid that I'm going to blink and all of them will have out grown needing me.

A really sad day at work

Ok I just cant keep it in to myself, so I'm going to share. This morning at work a resident fell. I know that I cant be everywhere, but I just wish that I would have been just a little bit quicker getting to her before she fell over and broke her arm. 100 year old bones just don't heal very quickly, and I feel awful. And if that wasn't bad enough a super nice man (another resident) went into the doctor for a follow up appointment and they found cancer in his hip. It has already metastasized or spread guess and he starts treatment on Monday (hows that for a quick way to ruin his Thanksgiving) I guess that anyone who reads this knows that Cancer is one of the most terrifying thing in my world and I would never even wish it on my worst enemy, now one of my favorite residents has to fight it. I've been holding back tears for most of the afternoon because of it. Well thanks for letting me get it out and I'm sorry I'm being so whiney but I don't really know how else I can let my hurt out with out it hurting my work abilities. Thanks again and any prayers for my friends at work would be appreciated.

Ok so I have this wonderful friend that loves me and lets me do cool stuff like bake cookies for my boyfriend birthday at her house. Then she lets me torment her kids and fill them up with pepsi and cookies. then we played rock band (I really suck) but it was a fun evening. Thanks

yesterday was my very favorite nephews 9th birthday. I'm not sure why Kim let him grow up so quickly, but he is the best boy I have ever known. I hope that his day was as wonderful as he is. and I hope that he enjoys all the birthday loot that he got.

So now that I have that taken care of I will apologize to the rest of you who may read this. I am sorry that it's been so long since I've blogged, but my life has been a bit boring and quite a bit crazy (my hours at work). I am still alive and kicking, and I promise to keep up on this better.

GETTING MARRIED

Dustin asked Krystal to marry him on the 25th. The wedding will be March 21st so keep the day open. I'm excited to get a new sister as cool as Krystal.

Walking on Jello

Ever have one of those days that the world as you know it just crumbles under you??? Just about every aspect of my life seems to have changed this last week. It starts on Monday night (Labor Day) I get home to LuAnn's house (where I have been living and taking care of her for the last 4 years) after a wonderful dinner at Kim's house to LuAnn announcing very bluntly that she is going to sell her house and move into a assisted living facility, This in itself came as a shock considering that this was the first that I had heard of it. Then the next morning she asks me to take her to look one over, (that her daughter had called earlier Monday afternoon) I made some smart Alec remark to LuAnn and the director of the assisted living place asks me if I am looking for a job, so I answer "if Luann moves in here I will be" No I don't think there is a sarcastic bone in my body do you. Well the director tells LuAnn that she likes my attitude and that she just placed an ad for the job and I can have it if I want. Can I start on Wednesday. (I just got fired and a new job found me within 6 hours) Now so if this isn't crazy enough I have to tell Jody and Jenifer that they will need to find someone else to watch their kids because LuAnn fired me and I can't do it any more. I had to cry the last time that I watched Jenifer's little girls because I won't even get to see them much any more (at least Jody and her girls live across the street)I've moved back in with Dad and Dustin, well because I really don't have anywhere else to go and they have been really good about it all. I started my new job and remembered why I didn't want to work in a nursing home.(I get to attached and I'm scared that when they die they will take a part of me with them)Since I have started working there I have worked late every shift but 1 (I'm not complaining)I need the extra money so I can buy a car so that I can quit begging everyone I know for rides into Logan. I helped get LuAnn ready to move into the assisted living home. (I think that if she give it a chance she will really like it)This week it really feels as if I'm walking on jello just waiting to fall through again. Now if I can just get more than 2 hours of sleep a night and live through the next few weeks until things settle down a bit I'll be doing good.

Today the whole famdamly went up Emigration canyon for a cookout. Kim made a really good chicken and sausage crockpot meal, Jody brought some cheese cake, I made a pasta salad and Dustin and pop brought drinks chips and beef jerky Yummy. Fred just makes me laugh and laugh. This morning we were all playing outside, Luann sent me into the house for something and guess what I found when I came back out, Yep there she was dancing on the table, just shaking her little butt for all its worth. I'm just glad that I had my camera

Hurricain Mellissa

Ok so I love Jennifer's little girl Mellissa lots and lots, but I just don't know about all that energy of hers. this afternoon I was trying to calm her sister down and Melissa got quiet (not a good sign) I sent Tammy to go and see what she was doing, Tammy yelled and I had to go check it out, well she had gotten Myahs new clothes out of my room, went into the bathroom and decided that it would be fun to dump almost a whole bottle of bubble bath on her great grandma's carpeted Bathroom floor (why on earth would you want to carpet a bathroom) While I'm attempting to clean up the mess Tammy is having a terrible time because Kira (the baby) has decided that she is going to starve to death if she doesn't get fed RIGHT NOW! Mellissa is making messes faster than anyone could possibly clean them up, And Lulu is going crazy because she cant control any of it. Well the moral of my story is that I have decided that I am not meant to be a mother.

Stripper Hayley

Have you ever really regretted not having a camera handy???? Yesterday Fred (Hayley to those of you that don't know her as Fred) escaped out LuAnns back door, I was following her and she just went to the next door neighbors trampoline. LuAnn asked me a question and I turned around to answer her. About 10 seconds later I turned back to make sure Fred was still ok and I was just shocked. She had taken off all her clothes and her pull up, and she was jumping on the trampoline totally naked. I couldn't stop laughing every time her feet, or butt would touch the trampoline she said ow hot hot. I am soo mad at myself for leaving my camera at Dustins House.
