Hello

Hi I know that its been a while since Ive posted anything on my blog, but you know that old saying that if you don't have anything nice to say you shouldn't say anything at all. Well it seems like there hasn't been much good to blog about up until the last little while so here is a quick catch up on what I'm up to now. I moved back to Utah, and I have decided to go to school. I start on July 5th, and I am taking health specialties program. i hope that I am up to the challenge.

I'm still kicking

Hi everyone! remember me? this has been a rough few months for me but I am back! my life has pretty much settled into a routine of work, sleep and then start over. lets see Jody wants me to tell everyone whats been happening in my life, Well for those of you who don't know I an living in Buffalo New York now. It was easier that I thought to get used to living in the city. its ok but there are just lots of people around all the time, and the houses in my neighborhood are so close together that i can stand at my bedroom window and touch the house next door its pretty crazy. I am working a a small hardware store as a cashier, I like it the company that I work for is pretty cool, and my coworkers are all awesome. I have never really worked anywhere else that there was no backstabbing or tension between employees, we all get along really well, I am living with my boyfriend Paul and his brother Russ, they are two easy going guys that are pretty amazing to take me in like they did. well thats enough of my boring life for now I will save some so you all can nap again another day.

My fun day with fred

It was Freds turn to have a fun day all about her. so we started out by going to my work to try to get my paycheck. I wasn't there yet, but the neighbors were out working with their horses, so Hayley and I walked over to ask if we could pet one of them. They not only let her pet the horses but the let her ride on one of them. Oh I wish that I would have brought my camera me she loved her horsey ride. after her ride we had a little time before we had to get Jody up to the college so we went to visit Aunt Kim and she bought us an Ice cream, Fred ate all of hers then most of mine. We got Jody up to the school and my paycheck still wasn't ready so we went to the park and played on the swings and slides. Hayley even went down the twisty slide on her belly. I decided that it was time to check on my paycheck again so we drove by my work to see if my boss was there (still no paycheck) so we went to the park by the zoo. while we were swinging we saw LuAnn and Judy out for their walk so we went over to say hi, and walked with them to the zoo to look at the monkeys and birds. After we were there for a while I got a call that my paycheck was here so we hurried to pick it up then we ran got it cashed, and got some lunch for Fred, hurried to pick Jody up for her class and get me back just a few minutes late for work. While I was at Work Hayley and her mom (Jody) went and got Hayley a couple of new outfits and a pair of new shoes, then they came back to my work to entertain the residents with Fred singing and dancing for them, and pretty much just being the cutie that she is. But pretty much I would say that my little Fred got to have a pretty good day with Hauntie. And Hauntie is pretty much exhausted!

Can someone please tell me how in the world a person can tell this face NO?

My funny funny Fred

Do you ever just sit and listen to the funny things that come out of a three year olds mouth. Well Jody and Hayley left the older two girls home with dad and came across the street to visit for a little while Fred was sitting on my lap, she got bored and decided that she wanted to use the puter to play her webkins, but she just cant cause she has to get her homework done first. I just had to laugh because her sisters weren't even here, but she wouldn't use the computer because she just had to have mom help her wif my homeworks. This kid is soo funny it also cracks me up because she refuses to let you call her mom Jody. she corrects you and says DDDDDD JOGY! I think everyone should have a Fred that can make you laugh all the time.

Hi

Its been a while since I have written anything on here so I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking. Jody borrowed my camera so I haven't taken any new photos for a while either so I guess that I will just have to post some of my favorites from older pics.

Donut Night with the Mayo's

The new owners of the assisted living facility where I work are about the coolest people that I know! Rick and the residents and I all decided that we needed to have a donut night. Rick and Jully bought us each our favorite type of donut!

The funniest part is that Rick is also a Highway patrol officer and he wore his uniform so we could all have donuts with a cop!!!!

My Birthday

I guess I will just have to suck it up and admit that I'm getting old. Today I turned plenty-seven. my day started nicely with Paul calling me from Buffalo at 1:30 am to be the first person to wish me a happy birthday. Then I got up to go to work and got stuck in the driveway, I was really upset, and quite disconcerted because I didn't know who I could call to help me at 7:15 in the morning (Dustin was all ready working, Dad just had a heart attack, Jody's husband had surgery on his leg yesterday) and the neighbors just waved as they drove down the street. I finally called Jody and asked her if she would steer while I pushed. She came out to help and about 5 neighbors showed up and pushed me out. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!! when I finally got to work my day went better, My friend Julie made a special lunch, and Lindsay made a cake and all the residents helped me celebrate. After work Krystal brought me a yummy pumpkin desert, then I went to Tonyas and had a yummy dinner and she made a chocolate cake for desert (it was supposed to be a surprise, but her husband told) I guess that I'm pretty spoiled and am going to be on a sugar high for a week! Thank you everyone for making my birthday special!!! I Love You All!!!

We have a new member in our family. Her name is Lucy. She used to live with Kim Ashley and Brayden, but Kim and Dustin decided that she would fit in here pretty good. She is a lot of fun but she is also a lot of dog.

A quick Fred funny

Yesterday Jody asked if i could get her girls to school for her and I was putting a bag of rollo's away when they came over so Fred says "gimmie some chocate treat:" I asked her what the magic word is and she said "please you bootifull can I have chocate treat now" I had to give her three of them. because anyone who is smart enough to call me beautiful at 8 am deserves chocolate. (just so you know this isn't how we send Fred to school Ijust found an older picture. we do fix her hair for school)

Update on Pop

pop is doing good! woo hoo!!! he had a small heart attack but there was very little damage. Thank god. and he is home trying to eat healthier and quit smoking. He says that he feels good and is in great spirits. Thank you all who sent us positive thoughts and prayers they were listened to and answered. Thanks again We love all of you!

Jody thought that I had better explain why I changed the title of my blog from crazy days with Hauntie to crazy days with Leslie, well the sad reason is that my Fred just calls me Leslie now or Auntie like the older kids. It brakes my heart that they are all growing up so fast. I'm afraid that I'm going to blink and all of them will have out grown needing me.

A really sad day at work

Ok I just cant keep it in to myself, so I'm going to share. This morning at work a resident fell. I know that I cant be everywhere, but I just wish that I would have been just a little bit quicker getting to her before she fell over and broke her arm. 100 year old bones just don't heal very quickly, and I feel awful. And if that wasn't bad enough a super nice man (another resident) went into the doctor for a follow up appointment and they found cancer in his hip. It has already metastasized or spread guess and he starts treatment on Monday (hows that for a quick way to ruin his Thanksgiving) I guess that anyone who reads this knows that Cancer is one of the most terrifying thing in my world and I would never even wish it on my worst enemy, now one of my favorite residents has to fight it. I've been holding back tears for most of the afternoon because of it. Well thanks for letting me get it out and I'm sorry I'm being so whiney but I don't really know how else I can let my hurt out with out it hurting my work abilities. Thanks again and any prayers for my friends at work would be appreciated.

Ok so I have this wonderful friend that loves me and lets me do cool stuff like bake cookies for my boyfriend birthday at her house. Then she lets me torment her kids and fill them up with pepsi and cookies. then we played rock band (I really suck) but it was a fun evening. Thanks

yesterday was my very favorite nephews 9th birthday. I'm not sure why Kim let him grow up so quickly, but he is the best boy I have ever known. I hope that his day was as wonderful as he is. and I hope that he enjoys all the birthday loot that he got.
